This is my little tribute to the memory of Ken Ishikawa, who passed away the last November 15th. He was one of the original creators of Getter Robo along Go Nagai and a pioneer of the Super Robot gendre.

It may not be my best work, but it's my sincere way to salute a great story-teller and a good man. Rest in peace Ishikawa sensei.

Miscellaneous notes about the drawing:

-The "inking" was done using verctor tracing over a messy sketch previously done; the same method I used for my previous Ideon picture.

-The color pattern of Mr. Ishikawa pilot suit is the same as Ryoma's suit in the last OVAs of Armageddon... but the design is closer to the suit of the original TV series, including the brooch in the scarf.

-The proportions of the Getters are a bit messed up... And I'm still not happy with the overall apparence of Getter-2. Why I always have trouble drawing him?

-The background and "glowing aura" effect is just provisional. I've done it that way 'cause it didn't looked well with just a plain black background. I'm accepting suggestions or ideas for a better background.
