Finally, my first Deviation... and also is the first original background I've ever made; that's kind of depressing when you think about it.
Anyway, the adepts of the Super Robot Wars series should recognize this nightmare immediately, the most powerful Super Robot ever created, and quite possibly the most dreaded engine of destruction in the fiction world.
I just love this series, by far one of the best I've ever seen... if not THE best. If your liked SDF Macross and/or MS Gundam (0079) you must watch to "Space Runaway Ideon". It's a fundamental title to any adept to the Super Robot & Mecha gender and the good Anime.
Ah, Ideon! The way he looks, and with Ideon sword about to go off, it looks as though some planets aren't going to get past this thing . . . and I like the way the Ide guage looks. The head looks great too; I've been having a bit of trouble drawing that head at the moment, so I really mean it when I say the head looks good.
Oh yea, and . . . fav'd.

Indeed! Maybe I should do some kind of "secuel" for this, with a planet being choped in half by this powerful weapon... but it surely will take some time until got a little better.
Ideon is being fansubbed by the members of "Shin Getter Anime" group. Up to date, they have done 34 episodes out of 39, and it's confirmed they also will release the movies "A Contact" and "Be Invoked" at some near future.
Very nice Ideon, VP. I really like the various small details such as the reflective surfaces, Ide gagues, and the pattern running across Ideon's sensor. I'll also agree you did a good job matching the proportions of the head, and the background is also nice. Ideon's main body could use more definite shading, I think, due to the bright light coming from the pre-Ideon-Sword.
Thanks for the observations, I'll remember these suggestions for future works.
I'm glad you liked the detail of the Ide's gauge; in fact, that must be the only thing in this drawing that actually worked in the way I imagined it.
Well, in the end I think it's all about practice... There are still lots of Ideon pictures I'll like to draw, so there's still lots of chances to improve. Again, thats for the nice comment.
